Golf in Schools Program

Camelot Golf and Country Club is pleased to partner with Golf Canada and be part of the “Get Linked” initiative delivered by the Future Links, driven by Acura programs. It is designed to help grow the game of golf and introduce kids to our wonderful sport and encourages them to develop a passion for the game.  Our GOLF IN SCHOOLS partners are Sainte-Trinité Elementary School in Rockland and St. Peter Catholic High School in Orleans.

Camelot has donated the GOLF IN SCHOOLS kit which includes special clubs and other equipment (age appropriate) to each of the schools.  The GOLF IN SCHOOLS curriculum was developed by Golf Canada in partnership with the PGA of Canada and Physical and Health Education Canada (PHE Canada).  It not only includes learning the proper techniques for participating in the game of golf but also integrating valuable life skills such as perseverance, focus, honesty and sportsmanship.  Two components of the program are In School Visits by our golf professionals to assist with the delivery of the lessons and Field Trips by some of the students to our golf course so they have the opportunity to see an actual “green grass facility” and try out our practice areas.
